SIX EASY STEPS TO PURCHASE an iBarControl System
FIRST: Choose the iBarControl Basic System. This includes:
A: Handheld Computer. Please note that all hardware comes with a one year
manufacturer
warranty that is serviced by iBarControl Inc. thus giving you double
protection.
B: Memory Card for database storage and secure data storage.
C: iBarControl software to count and manage your inventory within one establishment.
You can have unlimited categories, items, employees, storerooms,
vendors and sales
centers.
D: Sybase SQL Database license. Never worry about the size of your database and be
assured
of fast queries on any of your data.
E: Printing software – Handheld computers normally lack printing capabilities. This
integrates
wireless printing, 40 column printing, emailing into iBarControl software.
F: All software is loaded onto the handheld and then shipped to you with basic setup
information input by our technicians.
Freight is included and full documentation is
included. Shipping is 3 to 5 days after
receipt of your information.
SECOND: Choose extra software modules if required.
Purchase Orders and Receiving: The basic system allows receiving of goods &
ordering
goods directly into each storeroom or sales center. This module produces
purchase
orders automatically for each supplier from your count and par levels. And
then these
orders can be received with one click and new costs updated at the same time.
Requisitioning and Issuing: The basic system allows receiving and issuing into and
from
storerooms and sales centers. This module automatically creates requisitions and
issue
requests from your counts and par levels, thus allowing better control over these
functions.
THIRD: Choose a Scale, if required.
A scale is needed IF you have to count partial items and do not want to estimate the
partial
amount, like a portion of a bottle of liquor or part of a bag of potatoes.
iBarControl software has the option to use a pull down list on the count screen to
record 5%,
10%, 15% to 100% of an item rather than actually weigh the item.
Manual Scale: This scale will weigh up to 13 pounds or 6,000 grams. The weight would
be
entered manually into the iBarControl software. If your partials are
heavier then 13 lbs
or 6000 grams than any scale that displays weight in grams will do. A carrying case is
included which
will hold all your iBarControl hardware.
Wireless Scale: This scale is integrated with a Bluetooth converter specifically adapted
by
iBarControl programmers. The weight of the partial item goes directly into the weight
field of the count sheet in iBarControl software thus insuring accuracy and dramatically
increasing the count speed. A carrying case is included which will hold all your
iBarControl
hardware.
FOURTH: Choose a Scanner, if required.
A barcode scanner is used to ensure the correct item is counted and to enable counting in
any
sequence. While a scanner is recommended for the best control it is not necessary if
you can be
assured that the correct items will be counted (e.g. you are counting them
yourself) and if the
items are always in the same location (or sequence) before each
count.
Since the inventory
items within iBarControl software can be placed in a predefined
sequence that matches the
actual sequence then you could count one item after the other
in that order or sequence. And you
can visually check if the item is correct.
Larger establishments will want a scanner because more than one person does the count
and
the count is quicker with a scanner. There is an Uncounted Item report for verifying
all items
have been counted.
Attached Wireless Barcode Scanner. This scanner is attached to the handheld and is
ideal when
one person is counting the inventory.
Handheld Wireless Barcode Scanner. This scanner is ideal when the establishment
requires two
persons to do the count. One would scan the barcode on inventory item. The
other
could be up to 30 feet away and would visually verify the scanned item in the
iBarControl software.
FIFTH: Choose Installation and Training, if required.
An iBarControl system comes
complete with electronic documentation that enables users to
install, setup, train, and use
the system. However, many establishments have requested
services to save them time in
doing the setup and to do the master inventory items setup.
Introductory Training and Setup Review. This 2 hour preliminary session and 2 hour
post setup session is ideal for those who like doing things themselves but need an
introduction and
would like someone to check their work when completed.
Complete Setup, Install, and Train the Trainer. All our training is done over the
internet. We
have been ``internet training`` for over 7 years and find it the most cost
effective
training method from the clients point of view. We will train and setup for up to
one
and a half days with up to 125 items.
SIXTH: Add Another Establishment
to your iBarControl System. The same iBarControl
system can be used to count stock at multiple venues with different
items, categories,
staff, storerooms, sales centers, vendors and selling prices by
choosing this option.
Extra Establishment Licenses.
This comes on a memory card. One for each extra
venue or establishment. The memory card has a unique SQL database,
a Printing software
license, and link to your desktop. Add to the cart and on checkout
just change number
from one (1) to actual number of different establishments you want
to count.
